I’m honored to have my work included in Holding Space, juried by Whitney Museum curator Roxanne Smith, on view at the Greenwich Art Society’s Bendheim Gallery.
Roxanne selected my painting for the exhibition and led an invitation-only gallery talk about the works. Afterward, we spoke about the art of observation — painting from life and what it means to see without the filter of technology. It was a rare and affirming conversation that reminded me why I started my series, How We See: to hold space for the human act of looking in a fast-paced, digital world. Holding Space 🗓 October 23 – November 20, 2025 📍 Bendheim Gallery, Greenwich Art Society 299 Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich, CT ⏰ Hours: Mon–Fri 10–4, Sat & Sun 12–4 #WhitneyMuseum #GreenwichArtSociety #PerceptualPainting #Observation #SeeingTheWorld #KarenBartoneStudio #HowWeSee
